Laptops, Computers & Repairs Townsville

We specialize in Laptops, Computers & Repairs Townsville. Stocking the largest range of Ex-government Laptops & Desktops.

Townsville Computer Recyclers, established since 2001, specialists in new, used & refurbished laptops and computers as well as computer repairs.

Our aim is to provide the local community with quality used computer systems at an affordable price, while at the same time helping to save the environment.

We believe in the philosophy of the  (Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment Directive 2002/96/EC) the objective is to “Reduce – Reuse – Recycle”. We promote all three by reducing the amount of landfill, remarketing late model computers and recycling computers otherwise destined for landfill. The WEEE Directive set collection, recycling and recovery targets for all types of electrical goods, with a minimum rate of 4 kilograms per head of population per annum recovered for recycling by 2009.

As a local business, we can also provide an alternative for the disposal of superseded equipment from corporate environments.

Rapid technology change, low initial cost, and planned obsolescence have resulted in a fast-growing surplus of computers and other electronic components around the globe. Technical solutions are available, but in most cases a legal framework, collection system, logistics, and other services need to be implemented before applying a technical solution. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, estimates 30 to 40 million surplus PCs, classified as “hazardous household waste”, would be ready for end-of-life management in the next few years. The U.S. National Safety Council estimates that 75% of all personal computers ever sold are now surplus electronics.
